I’m Lorena, a New York-based freelance brand designer, helping entrepreneurs and business owners explore an intentional personality. The word Maite [ my -teh ] is actually my middle name, and it embodies passion and creativity, a heartfelt expression of who I am.
Since I can remember, I’ve always been inspired by creative projects. And while I’m not entirely sure where that initial spark came from, I like say that the art of creative thinking and the flow of innovation have always been an aspiration of mine. My journey in education took me through various majors until I finally found the courage to study engineering science, where I found a love for programming, specifically with C++. It wasn't until that moment that I realized that I had surprisingly dabbled with code during my earlier internet days. Funny looking back now, I used to love customizing some of my classmates' social pages, which in retrospect parked my genuine interest in working with others today, allowing me to streamline storytelling and identity for different brands.
Drawing from my Salvadoran heritage, I've also learned to embrace cultural appreciation, diversity, and representation in design, believing that a client's background adds unique value to their brand.I strive for my clients to feel satisfied and inspired, give them a reason to be proud of their own work and the journey that brought them to where they are now.
During my free time, I like to recharge through slow movements like walking, yoga, and pilates. I enjoy myself a good read, plenty of works of Joan Didion, and others alike. I love exploring new places and in-person experiences, capturing the moments that inspire me along the way.
